Cooking Methods:
(Internal temp should be 145ºF when done)
Air Fryer - 400ºF for 6-11 minutes depending on thickness, and adjust for your model of air fryer. Fillets around 1 inch thick need 8-9 minutes. Normally, the frozen Salmon I buy are around 6 ounces. After defrosting, I air fry them for 8 minutes. You can also line air fryer with a piece of aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Oven - preheat oven to 425°F. Place salmon on oiled baking sheet. Cook 8 to 11 minutes.
Broil - turn oven to broil. Place salmon on an oiled baking sheet. Cook 6-8 minutes.
Skillet - Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook 9 to 12 minutes, turning once. Start with skin side down, and normally cook like 6-8 minutes. When it is easy to get spatula under salmon, flip and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes.
Preparation:
Pat salmon dry with paper towel.
Salt and pepper both sides.
Spoon or spread a specific mixture below over salmon and cook according to one of the methods above.
Mixtures:
Sweet and Savory Glaze:
1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
½ tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
½ tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch ground ginger optional
Mix together the brown sugar, Dijon, oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger (if using) in a small bowl. Spoon all over the top of the salmon.
Garlic Butter:
4 tbsp softened unsalted butter (grass fed recommended)
2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
Combine softened butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl and stir well. Spread over top of Salmon.
