Cooking Methods:

(Internal temp should be 145ºF when done)

  • Air Fryer - 400ºF for 6-11 minutes depending on thickness, and adjust for your model of air fryer. Fillets around 1 inch thick need 8-9 minutes. Normally, the frozen Salmon I buy are around 6 ounces. After defrosting, I air fry them for 8 minutes. You can also line air fryer with a piece of aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

  • Oven - preheat oven to 425°F. Place salmon on oiled baking sheet. Cook 8 to 11 minutes.

  • Broil - turn oven to broil. Place salmon on an oiled baking sheet. Cook 6-8 minutes.

  • Skillet - Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook 9 to 12 minutes, turning once. Start with skin side down, and normally cook like 6-8 minutes. When it is easy to get spatula under salmon, flip and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes.

Preparation:

  • Pat salmon dry with paper towel.

  • Salt and pepper both sides.

  • Spoon or spread a specific mixture below over salmon and cook according to one of the methods above.

Mixtures:

Sweet and Savory Glaze:

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • ½ tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  • ½ tablespoon low sodium soy sauce

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Pinch ground ginger optional

  • Mix together the brown sugar, Dijon, oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger (if using) in a small bowl. Spoon all over the top of the salmon.

Garlic Butter:

  • 4 tbsp softened unsalted butter (grass fed recommended)

  • 2 tsp minced garlic

  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning

  • Combine softened butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl and stir well. Spread over top of Salmon.
