Today is the day! Been training for this for months through a variety of workouts. Our group consistent of Lewis (the master mind), Julie (his trusty side kick), Emily (his daughter and Tech Tech Volleyball Player), Morgan (my daughter and UTPB basketball player), Diana (PE teacher with Lewis), and me. This is a grueling workout dedicated to Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, a Medal of Honor recipient who died in Afghanistan. The challenge consists of:

1. A 1-mile run

2. 100 pull-ups

3. 200 push-ups

4. 300 squats

5. Another 1-mile run

Participants often do this while wearing a 20 lb weight vest or body armor. It’s a test of endurance, strength, and determination, honoring a fallen hero.

We had some modifications, like not wearing a 20 lb vest. And, we substituted TRX pulls instead of pull-ups, except for Lewis who did the pull-ups.
